In association with GTG Packaging Systems (Pty) Ltd, GTG Packaging (Pty) Ltd, GTG Printing (Pty) Ltd, GTG Weighing & Turn-Key Projects cc INTRODUCTION TO GLOBAL TRADING GROUP GTGroup was established in 1986 named G&T Industrial Supplies now called GTG Packaging & Machinery (PTY) LTD. Its focus at this time was mainly in the milling trade of maize, wheat and other food groups and focused in the packaging area. We supply a diverse range of products to the milling industry (belting, elevator buckets, wire & nylon mesh, sifter pads, filter sleeves, sight glasses etc ) and have managed to keep this business going strong even today. Our main focus in the packaging at that time was bag closing consisting mainly of sewing or sealing (manual to fully auto) We have installed three fully auto packing lines to Premier Milling Group and numerous robotic palletising systems through our sub agents. Over time our product range has expanded to cover a wide range including tape carton sealing, strapping machines, vacuum packing machines, palletising equipment, shrink tunnels, form fill & seal, paper folding, carton packers, Scales, Labelling, Ink Marking and many more GTG Packaging was introduced in 1997 to address a need from our customers regarding the packaging material used in there production. At this time we were not only supplying the milling trade with machines but had diversified our client base to many other industries such as cement, chemicals, cosmetic, Automotive, mines, Dairies, FMCG and many more. www.globaltrading.co.za Our focus has being to manufacture and supply industrial packaging from cartons, plastic bags, plastic sheeting, tapes, pallet wrap, food wrap, vacuum bags, shrink film, thread, strapping, adhesives, etc and this business has grown exceptionally well over the years. In 2001 we formed GTG Printing & Packaging (known then as Big Apple Print & Label), at first focusing on the printing needs in the milling industry with regards mill tickets, feed tickets, bar codes, Tags etc but later with the introduction of a R3.5 million 8 colour press we promoted our services to a much wider market and today we have 4 presses and going strong able to offer products ranging from labels, brochures, banners, stationary print etc to all sectors with a quick turnaround time. Up until now its being focusing on and building a brand and growing our client base with some small introductions of other materials and machines.. Its now 2009 and we have something new, bigger and better to offer our customer base. We became the agents for Teufelberger the biggest system independent manufacturer in the world of PET strapping. Together with this partnership we have added a wide range of powered strapping tools and fully auto strapping systems and we have being making large steps in the market. www.teufelberger.com Another big opportunity has also come our way in the form of a company called Paglierani Italy formed in 1926 and employs over 250 staff with a turnover of 50 million euro per annum. We became agents for them recently and have being aggressively marketing there fully auto packaging lines for paper block type, PP and plastic as well as robotic palletising, pallet wrapping, shrink tunnels etc and we will also be marketing there weighing systems from 2010.
