PET Strapping

Holds  Strong

Holding strength is more than just tensile breaking strength. The loss of volume of the packaged material during transport has to be compensated by means of elasticity of the strapping material.  Additionally the material must not stretch in the course of time, referred to as creep.  Whenever a high securing strength is needed.  TYCOON® strapping is superior to straps made of steel, since PET is more elastic than steel.

The preferred fields of application for TYCOON® are in the sector where high breaking strength is only one of the specification criteria to make the strap fit for the purpose.

Impact.  Elastic.

High elasticity provides protection in shock impacts.  With its low elasticity, steel cannot absorb energy and instead deforms at the edges or bursts.  TYCOON® -straps stretch for up to 7% without loss of elasticity.  The securing strength remains intact.  Temperatures of up to 60° Celsius are not unusual during transport.  This leads to creepage in PP straps, which thereby lose their securing strength.  TYCOON® -polyester strapping is UV-resistant, and cannot rust.

TYCOON® PET: beats steel strapping by far

>> higher retained tension and higher impact reserve

>> halved coil weight and more metres per coil

>> minimal risk of personal injury when tensioned strappings are cut

>> can be recycled

>> no corrosion staining of products, no dangerous remains in the baled goods

>> innovative packaging for quick and safe coil replacement
